The Black School Design Apprenticeship is paid 6 month training program where young creatives will be taught graphic design through real-world learning with an interdisciplinary approach (which may include communication design, creative entrepreneurship, fashion design, architecture, fine arts, agriculture, and design activism).
The purpose of the program is to produce a Black self-directed, civically engaged, hybrid design professional with the ability to identify problems in their own community and present design solutions.
We are not currently recruiting youth for a 6-month Design Apprenticeship program.
Who: New Orleans based-Youth creatives ages 14-21, who can make a 6 month commitment, with reliable transportation.
When: Nov 14th, 2022 to May 15, 2023
How: Please, fill out a short application and submit a work sample of your creative work, art or design work (e.g. drawings, sketches, fashion designs, graphic designs, videos, photos, etc.)
